The challenge
To rebrand a range of traditional handcooked crisps that would enable a small independent business to compete with the major brands in the snack industry for a greater share of the market.
Our approach
Drawing inspiration from the fact that the range was named after the company owner’s great grandfather, Alfred Stubbs, we gave the range a strong personality and a sophisticated sense of humour. Renamed 'Alf's', we created an everyman character, leading a normal, mundane life – something we can all relate to!
The result
A brand with a very individual look and attitude, good shelf standout, the ability to compete more effectively with big brands, and greater confidence with which to move into new markets.
